Photo Notes: a Log Book for Photographers |
Before the digital revolution, one of the things photography instructors told their students was to keep a photography log and write down information about each shot so they could go back, review their photos, and learn from what they had done.
Learning from your photographs is one of the best ways to improve your photography skills and become a better photographer. It allows you to compare results to see what works and what doesn't work. Even the best digital cameras don't have the technology to tell you the lighting conditions, the weather conditions, visibility, or any information beyond the numeric details: ISO, f-stop, shutter speed, etc.
The pages of this log book are designed to help you keep a record of each shot taken. This will also help you take the time to think more about each shot as you write down the information.
